Geodesic’s Mission
Geodesic was established in 2015 by former United States Ambassador to Japan John Roos to strengthen the connections between Japan and Silicon Valley. Headquartered in Foster City, California with a subsidiary office in Tokyo, Japan, Geodesic seeks to invest in great companies, help them scale in Japan and to support the strategic interests of our Japanese partners in both regions.
Our Services
We facilitate relationships between Japanese companies and startups in Geodesic’s portfolio. We support the Japanese companies that have invested in Geodesic Capital by developing a deep understanding of their strategic objectives and focus areas and connecting them to the startups and technology they seek. With events, such as our annual flagship conference, the Geodesic Forum, we bring executives from the most innovative Silicon Valley start-ups to Tokyo for curated one on one meetings with Japanese companies, large public events and numerous networking opportunities with Japanese executives and government officials.
